Student Organization

New Jersey Public Health Association — Rutgers Student Chapter

The New Jersey Public Health Association – Rutgers Student Chapter seeks to advance and support the cause of public health within the Rutgers community and throughout New Jersey. We host lectures, seminars, and panel discussions to educate students and create a bridge to public health professionals, and offer mentorship, internship, and networking opportunities with the NJPHA professional network. The organization also hosts awareness events on campus and in the surrounding community and hand out contraceptives, pamphlets, and healthy food as we strive to educate the community on how to utilize resources and options. We are actively involved in Rutgers events such as Winter Wishes and Rutgers Day and also work consistently with community partners in New Brunswick including Dina’s Dwellings, Unity Square, and the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Ultimately, our goal is to educate students and support future leaders in the field, functioning as an organization to benefit all future health professionals at Rutgers University.
