October Graduation Celebration FAQs

What to expect

During the fall celebration, returning alumni will have their opportunity in the spotlight. Graduates will have their moment to cross the stage and be congratulated by deans, and faculty of their graduating school.

Alumni will also have the opportunity to network and connect at events being held around campus that weekend. Smash a clay pipe on Old Queens, network with fellow classmates at Van Nest Hall, reminisce at the Senior Day event, and attend the big celebration on Saturday night.

Who is invited

Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 graduates who have completed the necessary undergraduate and graduate degree requirements are eligible to participate in school-based events.

In addition to being invited to attend the Bloustein School event, Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 doctoral graduates are invited to attend the Doctoral Hooding Ceremony on Thursday, October 21st. The Doctoral Hooding Ceremony will recognize graduates who have achieved the highest level of academic accomplishment at Rutgers University.

How to register

All returning graduates are required to register in order to attend the fall celebrations. Make sure to sign-up early to secure your registration.

Registration will close September 15, 2021.
