SUMMARY:Rutgers Robotics Workshop 2026
DESCRIPTION:The annual Rutgers Robotics Workshop series was initiated as part of the SOCRATES NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) Program and is now co-organized with the Rutgers AI and Data Science Collaboratory and Rutgers DIMACS. \nThe goal of the 2026 Rutgers Robotics Workshop is to bring together faculty\, researchers\, and students working in robotics from across the university to identify synergies\, brainstorm new collaborations\, and build teams for upcoming proposal submissions. We will also discuss ways to strengthen the Robotics@Rutgers identity and increase the visibility and coordination of robotics research across Rutgers. \nFaculty working in robotics are encouraged to sign up to give a 10-minute research talk. These talks should provide a brief overview of your research area\, with particular emphasis on opportunities for collaboration with other Rutgers researchers. Please click the selection on the registration form if you would like to give a talk. Register here: https://forms.gle/YA4JBMj9zvN9xe9a7 \nThe workshop will also include a dedicated session to discuss upcoming proposal and funding opportunities\, with the goal of identifying areas where Rutgers researchers can form new interdisciplinary teams. The day will conclude with robot demonstrations and a student poster session. \nTentative Agenda \n\nWelcome and Robotics@Rutgers discussion\nFaculty Research Talks — 10-minute presentations highlighting research and collaboration opportunities\nLunch — provided for registered participants\nProposal Opportunities and Team Building — discussion of upcoming opportunities and potential collaborations\nStudent Poster Session\nRobot Demonstrations\nClosing Discussion and Next Steps\n\nParticipation is free\, but registration is required. Registration closes Friday\, October 9. \nWe hope you will join us for a day focused on connecting the Rutgers robotics community and building new collaborations across departments\, schools\, and campuses. \n

SUMMARY:Dean's Listening Session for Bloustein Graduate Students
DESCRIPTION:Bloustein graduate students are invited to attend the Dean’s Listening Session. This session provides an opportunity to join Dean Shapiro and the Student Services team for an open and engaging conversation. Students are encouraged to ask questions\, share feedback\, discuss their experiences\, and engage directly with school leadership and Student Services. \nThe Dean’s Listening Session is intended to address broader school-wide topics and the overall Bloustein student experience. It is not intended for program-specific questions\, concerns\, or feedback. Students who would like to discuss matters related specifically to their academic program are encouraged to attend their respective Program Listening Session\, where program leadership can best address those topics. \nWe value your perspective and hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to have your voice heard and contribute to the ongoing conversation about the Bloustein School and student experience. \nRSVP REQUIRED.
