DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us for “We Mean Something to Each Other: Life in Memorial Homes\,” a public exhibition celebrating the history and legacy of Memorial Homes\, a New Brunswick public housing development that was the heart of a vibrant\, close-knit community. \nNearly 25 years after its demolition\, this exhibition brings Memorial Homes back into view through the eyes of the people who lived there. Developed in dialogue with former residents\, it is the culmination of two linked courses offered in spring 2026 at the Mason Gross School of the Arts and the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. \nThe exhibition features: \n\nPlanning research by Bloustein graduate students\nOriginal artworks by Mason Gross graduate art students\nArtifacts and oral histories from community members\nPhotography by Ben Gest and Phil Buehler\n\n🗓 Opening Reception: Saturday\, July 11 | 1–4 PM\nFood and refreshments will be served. \n📅 On View: July 11–29\, 2026 \n🕐 Gallery Hours: \n\nMon–Wed & Sat: 10:30 AM–6 PM\nThurs–Fri: 10:30 AM–7 PM\n\nFree and open to the public. SUMMARY:Undergraduate Pre-major Advising Session
DESCRIPTION:Pre-major advising sessions give interested students an opportunity to learn about the undergraduate program offerings at the Bloustein School. There is an overview of each major\, minor\, and certificate program\, including the admissions criteria and application processes for current and prospective Rutgers students. Students are encouraged to bring questions. The host advisor(s) will answer them or refer the student to the appropriate department/office. \n\n\n\nThese sessions are open to current Rutgers University students who are interested in declaring a Bloustein School major. \nStudents should have the following: \n\n One or more completed semesters at Rutgers with a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA.\n A final grade of C or higher or AP credits for College Writing – 01:355:101 (or equivalent)\n\nAttendance at the session will be used to confirm your engagement with our Office of Student and Academic Services\, which is required to declare a Bloustein School major. Cameras must be on. \nUpdate the Zoom app in advance. There will be a 5-minute grace period to enter the meeting after the start time. \nREGISTER HERE
