Will Trump, the president, replace Trump, the campaigner?

Two forces are in contention these days; both are compelling. President Obama and Hillary Clinton are right, classy even, to take the high ground and urge us to hold together in ways that unite our divided nation, and, to give Trump a chance. They want to ensure a smooth succession at home and project to the world that the United States has a stable republican government: It is a nation that accepts the results of its elections.
