Graduate Program
Doctor of Health Administration (DHA)
The Doctor of Health Administration program is designed to allow mid-level and senior healthcare professionals to turn their clinical or administrative experiences into opportunities to teach, shape public policy, and lead complex organizations. Successful applicants will possess relevant post-baccalaureate professional or master’s degrees and significant practical experience in the field.
The DHA program is a 66-credit-hour curriculum, with new cohorts beginning each fall. Students with an MHA or any other relevant graduate degree may transfer up to 24 credits towards the DHA degree. The program utilizes a hybrid format, combining online and in-person instruction. DHA students take a core curriculum focusing on advanced leadership in healthcare, leadership and professional development, finance for health administration, health systems operations, applied quantitative and qualitative research methods. Year two also includes dissertation proposal defense. Year three focuses on writing and defending the dissertation.
