The latest in a series of annual reports documenting the credit’s economic impact paints a very different picture than “Federal Fumbles.”
Issued last July by Rutgers University’s Center for Urban Policy Research and the National Park Service, which administers the credit with state historic preservation offices, the report says that, since 1976, the program has generated almost $132 million in private investment involving nearly 43,000 projects.
