Property-Tax Payments Are Due May 1 – What Will Happen?

New Jersey property tax payments are made four times a year on the first day of February, May, August, and November. The May 1 payment is due in less than 10 days. With many homeowners out of work and small businesses closed due to the pandemic, many payments won’t be made on time. Senior Policy Fellow Rich Keevey discussed the budget problems this will create at the local level.
