What Aa’ron says:
As an Associate Director in Patient Transport, my mission has been to ensure the safety of our team, colleagues, and our patients. This meant procurement of the PPE needed for transports and providing the leadership skills necessary to manage the expectations of others and to calm the anxieties and fears of the unknown. Our team was instrumental in the transport of the first PUI cases of COVID-19. We would be remiss not to acknowledge the work and dedication of our fallen colleagues who conducted clinical training and coaching sessions with the staff related to handling and caring for the patients.
Our Team readily reported to work despite fears of the unknown and were able to remain calm and positive while showing compassion for our patients. We led the response in the process of securing and transferring the patients who had succumbed to their illnesses with respect and dignity.
The COVID-19 pandemic has intensified my motivation to push forward even more and be an advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves.
His reason for enrolling in the Master of Health Administration program:
To become better equipped to impact the lives of others and the personal development of a career in healthcare. This program provides the essential skills and concepts needed to lead a highly reliable and equitable organization. It provided a clear understanding of the complex challenges of our society especially as it relates to the disparities with our communities.
Career aspirations:
I aspire to continue to elevate in my career to higher positions in a healthcare system. As well as explore opportunities to mitigate some the disparities and inequalities within healthcare. The COVID-19 pandemic has intensified my motivation to push forward even more and be an advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves.
