What Kristin says:
This past spring I was a Customer Service Representative at Weill Cornell Imaging at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where I was tasked with scheduling COVID-19 patients for their CT’s and X-Rays. In addition to scheduling COVID-19 patients, I also screened all incoming patients through a health questionnaire to make sure that they themselves had not been exposed to a suspected COVID-19 case nor were currently experiencing symptoms.
I chose Public Health because I want to use my knowledge of health disparities and community health to effectively work in a health administrative career.
Her job:
I was extremely lucky in that my internship requirement was fulfilled in conjunction with the offer of a full-time job at Weill Cornell Imaging, so I was able to start my post-collegiate career during my last semester. I plan on gaining more experience in health administration at Weill Cornell while putting the needs of patients first on a day to day basis.
Why public health?
I chose Public Health because I want to use my knowledge of health disparities and community health to effectively work in a health administrative career.
