Lily Chang (PH ’22) Hired as Press Assistant for Congressman John Sarbanes (MD-03)

Lily Chang graduated from the Bloustein School in 2022 with a bachelor’s in Public Health and a minor in Urban Planning and Design. As an alumna, she has gone on to complete a Bloustein trifecta by gaining experience and excelling in the Public Policy arena as well.

During her time at Rutgers, she was part of the Bloustein Honors Research Program, where she used her GIS skills to complete a study on “Studentification Near a State University: An Examination of New Brunswick, New Jersey” She was also a Public Service Fellow for the Ralph W. Voorhees Center for Civic Engagement in 2020.

After graduation Lily worked as a polling and research intern for Lake Research Partners and then as an intern for Representative Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), where she learned about politics first-hand. Currently a Staff Assistant/Press Assistant at the Office of Congressman John Sarbanes (MD-03), her education and hard work have paid off. She announced in a recent LinkedIn post that she’s been invited to talk at the next Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) panel in D.C.
