Jeff Janota, MCRP ’04, AICP, PP was a dedicated urban planner who directed H2M Architects + Engineers‘ Parsippany, NJ Planning Department from 2013 until his untimely passing in 2021. H2M is a 465+ person architecture and engineering firm headquartered in Melville, NY with office locations throughout the NY/NJ metro area, Lower Hudson Valley, and Albany.
Jeff’s career focused on ways to improve the community and the lives of the residents through implementing both practical and well-established planning principles. The H2M architects + engineers Jeff Janota Memorial Scholarship was established in his honor and will be awarded on the basis of merit and character to an individual who is currently pursuing a master’s degree at a College/University in the field of Urban Planning/Development.
