Officials say Jersey City school district showing progress transitioning back from state control

The report was authored by the Bloustein Local Government Research Center at Rutgers University, which serves as the state’s independent Comprehensive Accountability Office for the Jersey City Public Schools.

“…It appears that although the district may be implementing the activities on the scorecard; additional evidence is needed of systems in place that institutionalize the actions/practices, or that result in documentation to demonstrate compliance,” Cowan read from the Comprehensive Accountability Office report.
