Real Estate Development and Redevelopment Certificate
The certificate in Real Estate Development & Redevelopment (6 courses/18 credits) focuses on the theories, methods, practical skills and contextual knowledge needed to work at a high level within this industry. The innovative and interdisciplinary program integrates existing coursework offered in the Bloustein School’s graduate programs in planning and public policy, Rutgers Business School Center for Real Estate, and the Rutgers Business School MBA program.
Historic Preservation Certificate
The Certificate in Historic Preservation (15 credits) offers students a theoretical and practical introduction to the fields of cultural heritage and historic preservation through a combination of special courses and supervised internship or Independent Study opportunities.
Environmental and Climate Change Planning
This concentration prepares students to plan and manage the human-environment interface.
Design and Development / Redevelopment
This concentration includes two tracks: (1) Urban Design and (2) Development /Redevelopment. Because of the connections between these two topics, many courses are listed in both tracks. Students may choose to combine these two tracks for a custom concentration.
Urban Planning and Policy Development
Founded in 1967, the Urban Planning and Policy Development (UPPD) program educates innovative people who wish to combine social concerns with analytic skills. While planners work on a wide range of problems, they also are likely to focus on a particular issue or specialization in building individual careers, concentrating their professional expertise.
