Soo Yeon Lim is a PhD student at the Bloustein School. Her research explores contestations over land use governance, housing development, and the socio-political aesthetics of green space in urban peripheries. Her dissertation investigates the politics of state-led housing development on greenbelt land in Gwacheon, a small city within the Seoul Metropolitan Area, and its implications for local flower farming communities. Before joining the PhD program, she was a consultant at the World Bank.
