Soo Yeon Lim is a PhD student at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. Her research interest focuses on how the concept of the public is constituted through planning projects in places that experienced authoritarian regimes and rapid economic growth. She is currently working on her dissertation project that investigates the case of state housing projects in urban peripheries in South Korea. Before starting the PhD program, she was a consultant at the World Bank in South Korea. Soo Yeon holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics with International Studies from the University of Warwick.
