Students in Transition Advising and Registration (STAR) Program

Congratulations and Welcome to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey

Fall 2023 Admitted Students

As a new student, it is important that you read the following instructions and ensure completion of the First Things First Checklist prior to participating in a STAR session for a smooth transition to the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.

By enrolling, you begin the process of allowing us to communicate important information on the evaluation of your transfer credits,  learn about program expectations and complete course registration for your first term at Rutgers via our STAR Program.

NOTE: Transcript evaluations/credit reviews will be accessible via the My Dashboard tab in your MyRutgers portal.

New External Transfer Students admitted to Rutgers are required to attend the Transfer and Nontraditional Student Orientation, which will introduce you to Rutgers-New Brunswick, a unique and special place that will positively impact your student-life experience and expose you to resources available.  Returning and internal transfer students not familiar with the New Brunswick Campus are encouraged to attend by emailing: orientation@echo.rutgers.edu

Students attending an off-campus location or are solely online learners are also encouraged to attend a STAR session.

Newly admitted students can access their official transfer evaluation of all transfer credits online by clicking here. Returning Rutgers students and Rutgers School-to-School transfers are asked to review their online academic records and updated transfer credits by logging into https://www.acs.rutgers.edu/grades as well as Degree Navigator. Transfer evaluations are normally completed within 7-10 business days from the time of acceptance.

RSVP for your Student in Transition Advising and Registration (STAR) session here.

*** Please note that STAR sessions will be virtual.***
