Dean of Rutgers’ Bloustein School Steps Down

James Hughes, Rutgers University’s eminence grise of population demographics, housing, and the economy has announced his departure as dean of the Bloustein School for Planning and Public Policy after 22 years in the position.

When Hughes joined the Bloustein School, information technology was in its infancy. He discussed this within the context of New Jersey’s changing economy in a wide-ranging interview with NJTV news anchor Mary Alice Williams.
