Bloustein adjunct faculty member donates convalescent plasma after COVID-19

Like many who had COVID-19, the experience is not one David Brook would like to repeat. But, the 66-year-old knows he is fortunate. With the U.S. mortality toll now past 160,000 and climbing, he considers himself a survivor.

To help ensure others survive, Brook, after getting an antibody test with a positive response, donated his convalescent plasma — twice.

It wasn’t as easy as he expected, said Brook, who is a Democrat running for a seat on Hillsborough’s Township Committee. But, as he knew the need was great, he researched and got himself in the door.
