Getting to know Jocelyn Elise Crowley

Jocelyn Elise Crowley, Ph.D. is a senior faculty fellow at the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development with research interests in family policy and social policy in the United States. Dr. Crowley has been a professor at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University since 1999 and is a graduate faculty member of the Department of Political Science as well as an affiliated faculty member of the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies. She teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses and has published three books as well as numerous articles and book chapters.

Dr. Crowley recently spoke with the Heldrich Center Workforce Advisor about her research and projects, as well as her recent book, Mothers Unite! Organizing for Workplace Flexibility and the Transformation of Family Life.
