Hughes: NJ needs to "retrofit suburbia" to accommodate the new lifestyle requirements of young millennials

With one-quarter of New Jersey’s office space lying vacant, the state needs to engage in “retrofitting suburbia” in order to make spaces more attractive to young millennials, according to Dean James W. Hughes. He noted that the tech economy is moving to Brooklyn, and that’s where millennials want to be. “Brooklyn is draining the young demographic vitality of Central New Jersey,” he noted in a recent interview with NJTV.
