Francis Barchi is Recipient of Rutgers Open and Affordable Textbook Grant

August 15, 2023

The Rutgers University Libraries Open and Affordable Textbooks (OAT) Program is an incentive program that awards research funds to Rutgers faculty who make their courses more affordable for their students by using low-cost materials, library content, or open educational resources (OER).

This year, Bloustein School Associate Professor Francis Barchi has received a $3500 Authoring Award under the 2023 Rutgers Library Open and Affordable Textbook Program (OAT). The grant is one of five awarded this year at the university to promote textbook affordability and open education at Rutgers, and will support Dr. Barchi’s publication of a new, freely available textbook for undergraduate learners on research ethics.
