New Brunswick PARK(ing) day is Friday, September 18

September 9, 2015

Once again, Walk Bloustein Bike Bloustein is hosting a PARK(ing) Day in downtown New Brunswick! PARK(ing) Day is an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public places. The project began in 2005 when Rebar, a San Francisco art and design studio, converted a single metered parking space into a temporary public park in downtown San Francisco. Since 2005, PARK(ing) Day has evolved into a global movement, with organizations and individuals (operating independently of Rebar but following an established set of guidelines) creating new forms of temporary public space in urban contexts around the world.

On Friday, September 18 we will have three sites around New Brunswick!
—In front of  Legal Grounds at 55 Bayard Street
—In front of Garden of Healing at 27 Bayard St
and
—In front of Elijah’s Promise, 211 Livingston Avenue

We hope to see you there!
