Charles Brown, a senior research specialist at Rutgers University’s Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center, announced that he is willing to have his fall graduate class of civil engineering students from Rutgers’ Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy conduct a traffic audit of West Orange streets. His announcement came during the Pleasant Valley Way Traffic and Safety Commission’s Aug. 27 meeting at the Turtle Back Zoo Education Center.
Brown said the audit will involve his class of roughly 12 students thoroughly examining 20 streets recommended by the township for safety and aesthetic issues, even personally visiting the roads to take photos of everything they think should be fixed.
