July 24, 2013

njtv“Reimagining our Watershed: A Renaissance on the Raritan,” a 30-minute film produced by the Sustainable Raritan River Initiative at Rutgers University’s Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and the Rutgers iTV studio with the support of the Cape Branch Foundation, will be aired by NJTV at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1. Additional airings will be on August 3 at 4:00 a.m.; August 5 at 10:30 p.m.; and August 7 at 4:30 a.m.

The film is the first to celebrate the many environmental achievements made in the Raritan River Watershed. Featuring projects and organizations that are making a positive difference in the quality of life across the Raritan Basin. From Peapack-Gladstone to Perth Amboy, and with Raritan Borough as a central focus, this film captures an enthusiasm that reminds us that this is indeed, a marvelous and wonderful place to call home.

The Sustainable Raritan River Initiative, under the direction of Dr. Judy Shaw, brings together the broader university with key leaders from across the region and state through the Sustainable Raritan River Collaborative with the primary goal to restore and protect the Raritan River and all its tributaries for the benefit of residents, businesses and the environment.

Viewers should check NJTV’s programming guides for cable provider channel lineup. Many thanks to John Servidio and Debra Falk of NJTV Public Media for making this showing possible.
