What better way to show the success of the pie sale than with a “pie chart!”

For the third year, Bloustein students from the Ralph W. Voorhees Center for Civic Engagement and theAlan M. Voorhees Transportation Center joined forces to hold their annual Thanksgiving pie sale to raise money for Elijah’s Promise and the annual Turkey Trot. The two centers work with Griggstown Quail Farm in Princeton, NJ to offer high-quality fruit and chicken pot pies.

This year, 160 pies were sold to raise a total of $1,026.00 for the organization. The biggest seller for the third straight year was Griggstown’s delicious chicken pot pie, with 23% of orders. Strawberry rhubarb (14%), apple crumb oatmeal walnut, and good old apple pie (13% each) were the top selling fruit pies.

The centers have raised over $3000 for Elijah’s Promise over the last three years with the pie sales. Keep your eyes out for next year’s sale, beginning in early October!
