How Somerset County planners help protect Raritan River

The Somerset County Planning Board recently received recognition by the Sustainable Raritan River Initiative in the Government Innovation Category for the Somerset County Green Leadership Hub.

“We are very proud of our planning board for receiving this prestigious award, which is given to government entities whose actions protect the Raritan River and promote sustainability and resilience through actions and education,” Freeholder Director Patricia Walsh said in a news release. “The planning board’s forward-thinking, successful partnerships and resourcefulness in obtaining grant funding keeps us ahead of the curve and enhances the quality of life of our residents.”
