Nearly 4.6 million people work in New Jersey in thousands of different types of jobs.

But nearly 840,000 positions make up the top 10 most common roles, according to data from the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Laborers and freight stock and material movers — those who move goods from storage areas like warehouses and loading docks to delivery trucks — make up the largest category of job in New Jersey with more than 108,000 positions in the state.

They are followed by home health and personal care aides, with nearly 101,000 positions, and retail salespersons, at 99,230.
