The Heldrich Center for Workforce Development is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of its new podcast series, “Work Trends RU,” exploring the changing worlds of work, education, social policy, and financial security. The series features insightful conversations with policymakers, experts, educators, and business, labor, and community leaders.

“Work Trends RU” covers a variety of issues, including the contemporary workforce, economic challenges, artificial intelligence and the future of work, and how public policies and private initiatives are responding to the needs of job seekers, workers, and employers. The series, premiering on Tuesday, May 6, is hosted by Dr. Carl Van Horn and other scholars from the Heldrich Center.

The first episode of “Work Trends RU” features a conversation with Phil Murphy, Governor of New Jersey. The episode reflects on the governor’s tenure in office and the initiatives his administration has taken to build a “stronger and fairer” New Jersey. Upcoming episodes will feature interviews with Jane Oates, President of WorkingNation; James Moore, Partner, KPMG; Tammy Murphy, First Lady of the State of New Jersey; Todd Greene, Executive Director of WorkRise and Vice President at the Urban Institute; and Rachel Korberg, Executive Director of the Families and Workers Fund.
