Joseph Cuomo Receives 2026–27 Stormwater Infrastructure Matters Coalition Fellowship

Second year MCRP candidate Joseph Cuomo is the recipient of a 2026–27 Stormwater Infrastructure Matters (SWIM) Coalition Fellowship.Second year MCRP candidate Joseph Cuomo is the recipient of a 2026–27 Stormwater Infrastructure Matters (SWIM) Coalition Fellowship.

The SWIM Coalition brings together more than 70 community-based, regional, and national organizations, universities, businesses, and water-recreation groups working to advance natural and sustainable stormwater management and ensure swimmable and fishable waters around New York City. The coalition has played an important role in advancing NYC’s green infrastructure and stormwater planning and policy.

Concentrating in Environmental Planning & Urban Analytics, Joseph’s academic focus is on harnessing regenerative nature-based solutions to adapt to climate change while strengthening community health, resilience, and biodiversity. He holds a BA in Economics from Providence College. Upon graduation, he hopes to apply his diverse background and skillset to tackle climate adaptation and resilience challenges.
