Marc Pfeiffer recognized with AEA Wave Service Award

March 27, 2015

Marc H. Pfeiffer, Senior Policy Fellow and Assistant Director of the Bloustein Local Government Research Center, was recently recognized by the Association of Environmental Authorities with the 2015 Wave Service Award.

The Association of Environmental Authorities of NJ bestows Wave Awards each year to recognize excellence in the public water, wastewater, recycling, and solid waste sectors in New Jersey. This year’s awards were presented at a luncheon at the spring utility management conference in Atlantic City at the Golden Nugget, March 10-11.

The Wave Service Award is presented annually to an individual who is not a member of the AEA who has gone to great lengths or effort over time to help AEA achieve its goals. This individual may be a regulator, a member of a local, state or federal legislative body or someone from any organization AEA works with in an on-going manner.

A 25-year employee of the DCA Division of Local Government Services, Marc worked with numerous New Jersey regulatory agencies and also guided the state’s local governments and authorities into the information age. He was a key figure in establishing Local Finance Notices and Govconnect and also served as a legislative liaison. In honoring him with the Service Award, AEA recognizes his long-time professionalism, leadership, and dedication to quality local government in New Jersey.
