Billy Terry, Executive Director of the National Transit Institute (NTI) at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University will receive the Wilbur E. Smith Friend of Eno Award on January 11.

Eno’s Leadership Awards Reception is one of Washington’s premier transportation events. The event attracts current and former local and federal officials, top private sector leaders, and multimodal association leadership. It will be held on January 11, 2023, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Kimpton Monaco, 700 F St NW, Washington, DC. Visit https://www.enotrans.org/event/leadershipawards2022/ for more information about the awards reception.

The Eno Center for Transportation (Eno) is a non-profit organization founded in 1921 by William Phelps Eno (1859-1945), who pioneered the field of traffic management in the United States and Europe. The leader in its field for nearly a century, Eno provides government and industry leaders with timely research and an independent voice on policy issues. Through its professional development programs, Eno cultivates creative and visionary leadership by giving public and private transportation leaders the tools and training they need to succeed together.

The Wilbur E. Smith Friend of Eno Award is given to honor an individual or organization that has demonstrated outstanding support to Eno. He has been a strong advocate for public transportation at the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), the District of Columbia Department of Transportation, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Terry participates every year in Eno’s leadership programs to offer his wisdom on leadership and career development and serves on Eno’s Board of Regents to support our professional development programs.
