Having studied the importance of understanding intersectional factors and social determinants of health that are related to poor health outcomes for individuals and communities, Madison felt compelled to further her degree with a dual degree in Public Policy.

Cultural influence on the shaping of health and behaviors

A discussion on the importance of recognizing and training the medical community regarding cultural competency, not only to shed light on how cultural influences affect health but also to help eliminate health disparities.
