July 30, 2026

View Final Report

The Bloustein Studio Team partnered with the Montclair Center Business Improvement District (BID) to conduct a district-wide economic needs assessment that builds on the 2021 Strategic Plan to evaluate current post-pandemic conditions. This assessment was made through on-street observations of Montclair Center, conversations with BID leadership, conducting a survey that received 167 responses from visitors, residents, and property and business owners in the BID, and an analysis of secondary sources.

The report examines the results of the survey, analyzes the current progress of the goals outlined in the previous 2021 Strategic Plan, and provides placemaking and economic development recommendations for the Montclair Center BID.
