Hughes said the latest generation of workers, the Millennials, want to live and work, not to mention play, in the same place, in particular urban areas that include the Hudson waterfront.

“Jersey City has the housing, that’s certainly a positive in terms of the office space being absorbed,” Hughes said, adding that Jersey City rents, both commercial and residential, are still “relative bargains” compared to those in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
