Women’s Leadership Conference to be held at Bloustein School, Feb. 28

February 11, 2014

The Bloustein School, Rutgers Association of Policy and Planning Students, Graduate Student Association, and International Development Interest Group invite all graduate students to attend the annual Women’s Leadership Conference on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Special Events Forum, Civic Square Building, 33 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.

This year’s theme is “Lean In and Reach Out.” This year’s conference will shine a light on gender differences in our workplaces and provide inspiration for young women joining the workforce on how to achieve their goals. Participants will hear from a wide array of speakers belonging to a variety of fields who have achieved exceptional success in their professions, carving a path for women to follow.

WLC is a conference aimed at graduate students at Rutgers University who are looking for a space to discuss our challenges and successes as professional women about to begin or return to our careers after graduate school.

The mission and goal of the conference is to highlight our strengths and acquire new strategies that will propel us forward in our future endeavors. In addition, the objective of the Organizing Committee is to equip attendees with leadership skills as well as the ability to find balance in the various roles we will all play in society. The conference allows students to learn from women have once been in their shoes and can share their wisdom and lessons. The conference is open to all graduate women at Rutgers.

A morning keynote will be presented by The Honorable Virginia Long, retired NJ Supreme Court Justice. Complete schedule of events is available on the registration page at https://wlc2014.eventbrite.com. RSVP requested by Friday, February 21.
