July 31, 2017

The New Jersey Climate Adaptation Alliance, with support from the Rutgers Climate Institute and the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy will host a conference, “Climate Change Policy in New Jersey: Advancing Opportunities to Make New Jersey Safer, Greener, Healthier, and More Prosperous” on Wednesday,  September 27, 2017. It will be held at the Coach Barn at Duke Farms, Hillsborough, NJ from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.

This statewide conference will assess the state of New Jersey’s preparedness for a changing climate. Scientists, practitioners, and decision makers will come together to assess how far the Garden State has come in preparing for climate change and what critical decisions and strategies are needed now and into the future to protect our people, places and assets. The conference is designed to provide timely and practical insights for practitioners, decision makers, and policy makers at the state, federal and local levels as well as in the private sector.

Mindy S. Lubber, CEO, President of Ceres, a global nonprofit organization working with the most influential investors and companies to drive solutions throughout the economy to advance sustainable climate solutions, will be the keynote speaker. Mindy will talk about the current state of climate and clean energy policy nation-wide and globally, the critical role of states in advancing sound emissions reductions efforts, and opportunities for tackling climate change in New Jersey and throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

Additional panels and speakers are being added. More information and registration details may be found by visiting http://njcaa2017.weebly.com/.
