Dean James Hughes spoke with Dino Flammia of New Jersey 101.5 News Radio on Tuesday about the increase of men in traditionally female dominated fields. “I think the overriding reason is that some traditional male-dominated occupations have been in steady decline,” said James Hughes, Dean of the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University. “For example, manufacturing employment peaked more than two decades ago and has been eroding ever since.”
