The Center for Energy, Economic and Environmental Policy (CEEEP) at the Bloustein School and the Rutgers Energy Institute will be presenting a talk, “The Future of Solar Energy: A MIT Study” on Friday, November 6 at the Gov. James J. Florio Special Events Forum, Civic Square Building, 33 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick. The event begins at 10:30 a.m., with refreshments starting at 10:00 am.
The event is free and open to the public; RSVP is not needed.
Discussants will include Richard Schmalensee, the Howard W. Johnson Professor of Economics & Management Emeritus at MIT and Francis O’Sullivan, the Director of Research and Analysis at the MIT Energy Initiative.
The Future of Solar Energy study reflects on the technical, commercial and policy dimensions of solar energy today and makes recommendations to policymakers regarding more effective federal and state support for research and development, technology demonstration, and solar deployment.
