Soumitra Bhuyan, Executive Director of Health Administration Programs and Associate Professor at Rutgers University-New Brunswick’s Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy, is the co-editor of a new textbook Fundamentals of Healthcare Management: Theory and Practice. Co-edited with Kevin Broom (University of Pittsburgh) and published by Springer Publishing, the book takes a systems-thinking approach to healthcare organizations and is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the realities of practice. They worked closely with both academic and practitioner co-authors to ensure that the content reflects current scholarship as well as on-the-ground leadership experience.
