The Bloustein School is proud to share that Professor Céu Cirne-Neves, MPA, FACHE has been honored with the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award from the American College of Healthcare Executives New Jersey Chapter (ACHE-NJ). The award was presented at the chapter’s Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony on December 4, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick.
Céu is widely recognized as a highly accomplished healthcare executive, as well as a generous mentor and educator who has made a significant impact on both students and the profession. She currently serves as the ACHE Regent for New Jersey–Northern and has been an essential leader within ACHE-NJ for many years, including service as Chapter President and as chair of multiple committees.
Within the Health Administration program, Céu has made tremendous contributions. She provides steady leadership for the Undergraduate Health Administration program and teaches the Professional Practicum for the MHA program—both substantial responsibilities that require exceptional time, energy, and commitment to student success. She also collaborates closely with health systems across New Jersey to expand fellowship opportunities for graduates, among many other contributions that often occur behind the scenes but make a meaningful difference for students and alumni.
Over more than two decades, Céu has held leadership roles at Saint James Hospital in Newark and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, consistently demonstrating how mission, vision, and values can drive measurable results and meaningful community impact. She now brings that same passion and expertise to the classrooms at Rutgers, helping shape the next generation of healthcare leaders.
Within ACHE-NJ, Céu has elevated chapter performance, strengthened strategic planning, and expanded opportunities for students, such as increasing Administrative Fellowships for post-MHA graduates and adding a Student Associate seat to the Chapter’s Board of Directors. Earlier this year, she also received the 2025 ACHE Exemplary Service Award for her leadership and longstanding contributions to the chapter and to ACHE nationally.
The Bloustein School extends its warmest congratulations to Céu on this well-deserved honor and expresses deep appreciation for her ongoing commitment to students, the program, and the wider healthcare management community.
