Sometimes calling himself “the weird kid who arrived in the spring semester” to begin his journey as a Bloustein School planning student, Brandon McKoy has received numerous recognitions including being named as a 40 under 40 top millennial leader as well as a top leader of color in New Jersey.

President’s internship initiative puts focus on engaging with and serving others

Bloustein School alum Shawn Tucker RC ’07, MCRP ’12 Returns to Rutgers Athletics
Former Scarlet Knights football co-captain and Rutgers fundraiser Shawn Tucker is returning to the university as vice president for athletics development at Rutgers University Foundation. Tucker currently serves as associate vice president and director of athletics at New Jersey City University (NJCU). He joined NJCU in 2018 after a succession of positions at Rutgers, starting in 2007 and culminating in a five-year tenure as associate athletic director of student-athlete development.

Homecoming 2021: Shawn Tucker applies football, urban planning skills to his career in college athletics
A four-year letterwinner as a wide receiver, Shawn was a double major in geography and labor studies, and after graduation returned to the Bloustein School to earn a Master of City and Regional Planning.
Memorial scholarship established in honor of Jeff Janota MCRP ’04, AICP, PP
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of merit and character to an individual who is currently pursuing a master’s degree at a college/university in the field of Urban Planning/Development
