Some technology that works well in a rural context can’t be transposed to a high-rise city. “Solar on a penthouse at the top of an 80-storey skyscraper just doesn’t have the square metres to generate significant energy,” says Clinton Andrews, director of the Rutgers Centre for Green Building.
