New Video! Edward J. Bloustein: The Man Behind the Name

October 24, 2022

Thirty years since the school was founded and named and 33 years since his death, the majority of our students, staff, and faculty are far removed from why we were named after Dr. Edward J. Bloustein.

The video is not just a testament to Ed Bloustein, but also to how well we, at the Bloustein School, have memorialized his ethic. By capturing the essence of Ed Bloustein, we are able to show the meaning behind our mission: The mission of the Bloustein School is to create just, socially inclusive, environmentally sustainable and healthy local, national and global communities.

Special thanks to Ed’s daughters Lori and Elise. This project was spearheaded by Janet Cole, director of Development, and Madison Welch, Alumni and Development Specialist. The video was created by Bloustein alumnus Tatiana Rodriguez, MPH, BS (Public Health) ’99.
