National Transit Institute’s Executive Director, Geisha Ester, recently appeared on the latest episode of Transit Unplugged. Host Paul Comfort sat down with Geisha to discuss why workforce development is the most important investment transit agencies can make right now and how agencies and public transit professionals can access NTI’s free training to support that work.

In the episode, Geisha highlights today’s most in-demand courses, including procurement, service planning, safety, and leadership, and shares how transit agencies are using NTI to complement their succession planning. She also outlines the ways to partner with NTI and reflects on her journey from high school intern and rail conductor at the Chicago Transit Authority to a national leader and thought partner in transit workforce development.
