Alumni Spotlight: Rising Star awardee Arielle Woronoff MPP ’09

Arielle Woronoff started her college career at Rutgers thinking she wanted to become a lawyer but came to realize that most people don’t need a good lawyer but rather, they need better laws. She came to the Bloustein School to learn how to make equitable, effective, and efficient policy for positive impacts.

Sometimes calling himself “the weird kid who arrived in the spring semester” to begin his journey as a Bloustein School planning student, Brandon McKoy has received numerous recognitions including being named as a 40 under 40 top millennial leader as well as a top leader of color in New Jersey.

Bloustein School alum Shawn Tucker RC ’07, MCRP ’12 Returns to Rutgers Athletics

Former Scarlet Knights football co-captain and Rutgers fundraiser Shawn Tucker is returning to the university as vice president for athletics development at Rutgers University Foundation.  Tucker currently serves as associate vice president and director of athletics at New Jersey City University (NJCU). He joined NJCU in 2018 after a succession of positions at Rutgers, starting in 2007 and culminating in a five-year tenure as associate athletic director of student-athlete development.

Alumni Profile: Music is inherent in building design

Mrunmayee Atre, MCRP ’18 believes that music resides in everyone through heartbeats and breathing, and musical concepts can be applied to buildings which will have a different impact on people in the various spaces that they enjoy.
